Matrix: How do I downgrade my Eclipse panels to work on Matrix +3
How would you downgrade panels after upgrading them to eclipse?The Matrix +3 upgrader accepts .bin files which we have in the new release, but we don't have 4kp files of Matrix +3/ v2.4 vintage to downgrade the units afterwards when using ECS
To downgrade from Eclipse to Matrix +3 On the ECS CD ROM there is a folder called "Other software" which has Matrix +3 .4kp files.
Step 1: connect the panels to the Eclipse matrix and download the appropriate Matrix +3 .4kp files to the panels.
Step 2: move the panels to the Matrix +3 matrix AND download the "real" Matrix +3 panel firmware again.
The Eclipse Matrix +3 .4kp file only puts the panel into Matrix +3 mode but it does not actually install any real code. Which is why a second firmware download from the Matrix +3 is required
Only selected Eclipse panels (ICS 52 /62 /92 /102/ 1008/ 1016 & 2003) can be upgraded / downgraded between Matrix+3 and Eclipse matrices.
