Do Main stations ship with a microphone -- is it built in?
The MS and RM series of Encore Main and Remote stations / panels - Do Not ship with a microphone. The optional Goose-Neck microphone -model GM-9 or GM-18 connects to the front panel on phone jack. This jack is covered by a black "heyco plug" Some think this plug is a built-in microphone - It is not.
You remove this plug and screw in the G/N mic... There is a set screw on the microphone you tighten down after connection to keep it stable.
