Wireless: Can I create multiple remote antenna zones with the WBS-670/680?

The WBS-670 and 680 systems are typically designed to support one zone of coverage with the Tx and Rx antennas locally mounted on the base station or remoted via coaxial cable.
Multiple base stations can be used to create multiple zones of coverage with beltpack users provided the following rules are followed:
  • The two base stations should be far enough apart so that each base station transmitter doesn't interfer with the other.  If the transmitters are set to the high power mode this distance should be approximately 1000 feet (330 meters) or further.
  • The intercom audio should be linked together on each base station so that users on system A can talk and hear users on system B.
  • Setup the same Group / Channels on each base station, this allows the beltpack users to see the same Group and channels on each base station.
