Wireless: Can I use a WTR-670 beltpack with a WBS-680 base station?
Question: Can I use both WTR-670 single channel beltpacks and WTR-680 two channel beltpacks with a WBS-680 two channel base station? Are the preset frequency groups between the two beltpack versions compatible with the WBS-680 base station?
Answer: Yes the WTR-670 beltpack would work, but it would only talk / listen on one channel of the two channel base station using the standard frequency groups 01a to 24. Otherwise the user could use the customer editable frequency groups 25 to 36 to set a frequency group compatible with the WBS-680 base station.
Both series of beltpacks share the exact same frequencies for the transmit side, but the WTR-670 only receives one RF channel, the WTR-680 has two listen RF channels (only one can be heard at a time via the channel A / B switch on the top of the unit).
