Wireless: How do I find the firmware version of my FreeSpeak I or CellCom units?
To easily identify firmware versions, follow these easy steps:A: For the Base Station, select SYSTEM from the main menu and then select INFO. That will open a window that tells you the date of the build, say APRIL 04, 2007 and the firmware version…v1.5.6.114. The next line has the system ID… you’ll need to have the three digit code in-between parenthesis marks placed in the upper right corner of you Configuration Editor’s System 1 tab. Also included on this line is the current IP address of the frame. It’s good to know how to find this information quickly, as you’ll need to access it from time to time. B: To find the firmware of a beltpack, there are two ways to find this. One is when the beltpack is in search mode, when not yet registered, or when the antennae are not connected, just press the right hand button (the one with two raised dots on it) on the pack and you’ll get a new window with several codes on it… wait about ten seconds and the top line will change to reveal the application code and DECT stack code for this beltpack. You can find the correct versions, etc for your particular system in the release notes provided in the documentation folder on the CD you received with the system. But when the beltpack is online with the basestation, just go to the menu page and the INFO selection, then navigate to the BELTPACK VERSION item.
