The KB series -- both PL Pro and Encore can make use of a foot switch to control the Microphone On/Off.
Some units have a direct foot switch function on their auxiliary rear connector
If not you can wire your foot switch directly across the talk button of the unit. (note this will in-validate your product warranty if the product is still within its normal 2 year warranty period)The opening of any product should only be done by a competent technician or engineer.
