Matrix: Reinstalling Flash Player for ECS 5.1 Panel Programming

When attempting to access the ECS Panel Programming menu an error message may be displayed stating that a class has not been registered. This is caused by a corrupted Flash installation during the installation of ECS software. See example of this error message below:  

To correct this problem follow the steps below. 

1. Load the Eclipse distribution DVD into a DVD-ROM drive.

2. Exit all applications.

3. Navigate to the “3rd_Party_Software\Uninstall Flash” folder.

4. Run the “uninstall_flash_player.exe” application to remove the flash player.

5. Restart Windows.

6. Ensure that the Eclipse distribution DVD is still in the DVD-ROM drive

7. Navigate to the “3rd_Party_Software\Flash 10 installer” folder.

8. Run the “install_flash_player_10_active_x.exe” application to reinstall Flash.

9. Restart Windows. Run ECS and check that Panel Programming displays the Flash mimics correctly.
