When connecting two stations together to form a stand alone PL intercom system with no Clear-Com main station or power supply unit . Then a dummy termination is required (no wired intercom involved) A dummy load needs to be connected to each intercom chnl to prevent the audio from oscillating in the beltpack user's headsets.
This is especially true if connecting 2x wireless basestations together via their intercom PL connection but there is no externally powered mainstation linking them together
Items needed to build a dummy load in a 3-pin XLR connector: (1) 3-pin XLR connector (1) 220 ohm resistor (1) 10 uF 50 Vdc non-polar capacitor ( a polarized 10 uf 50Vdc capacitor can be used, orient the minus lead to pin 1 of XLR) (1) 4k7 ohm resistor.
