Wireless: Can I turn off the FS II Beltpack display dim / off settings?
Wireless: Can I turn off the FS II Beltpack display dim / off settings?
Question: Can I turn off the Freespeak II LCD display dim time out and off time out settings? My users would like to be able to see the displays all the time.
Answer: As currently configured on FS II beltpacks the display dim timer and display off timer cannot be turned off. This is done in order to prevent display "burn in" and provide extended battery life to the beltpack so that the pack can run up to 18 hours with a freshly charged Li-on BAT-60 battery.
To adjust the display brightness
*From the Display Brightness list, select a display brightness from 1 to 5. Note: The factory default is 5.
Setting the display dim timer
The beltpack display will dim if no key is used or there is no incoming call or call alert after a certain timeout period. To determine the timeout period:
*From the Display Dim Timeout list, select a timeout period. The settings run from Off to 120 seconds. Note: The factory default is 30 seconds.
Setting the screen automatically turns off timer
The beltpack display will turn off if no key is used or there is no incoming call or call alert after a certain timeout period. To determine this threshold period:
*From the Display Off Timeout list, select a timeout period. The settings run from Off to 120 seconds. Note: The factory default is 30 seconds.
