Matrix: Can I remotely trigger a relay using inward DTMF access codes on a Eclipse frame?
Question: I want to remotely trigger an RLY-6 interface card relay using inward DTMF access codes on an Eclipse frame.
Is it possible to trigger a relay in this manner?
Answer: Yes, frame, FOR-22 and RLY-6 relays can be access in this manner.
1. Create a control label and attach the desired relay or relays to the control
2. Go to the Cards and Ports screen, select the TEL-14 interface card and look for DTMF settings in the advanced settings column
3. Select "Assign DTMF codes" click to assign to open the inward DTMF assign screen, assign the control labels with relay attachments to a one or two digit code talk or listen box
4. Close the DTMF assignment screen, apply changes to frame
5. Dial in to frame, after hearing the access prompt enable the one or two digit code, the relay should activate, to deactivate the relay enter 99 on the phone keypad
