Matrix: Can I prevent a radio feed from being turned down / off at a V-Series Panel?

Question:  We have a FOR-22 connected to a 2 way radio. Our assignment desk seems to be turning off the listen on that port. Is the only wayaround this to set up a force listen from the radio to the V-Series panel at the desk?

Answer:  There are several ways to prevent the radio feed to a particular station from being turned down or completely off.
1.  Use a forced listen crosspoint from the radio port to the port that the V-Series panel is connected to. This will prevent the 2-way radio listen key at the panel from having any effect, the audio feed is always on regardless of the active state of the listen key.
2.  Adjust the Main Volume Off Limit on the V-Series panel to -36/-12 dB. This will prevent the panel user from completely turning the listen volume off.
