Wireless: How does the FSII 2.4G system work?
Freespeak II2.4GHz components utilize FHSS technology with 45 carriers mapped over the2.4GHz spectrum. There are45 RF channels within the 2.4G spectrum. All FSII 24 antennas have the samegeneric hoping sequence. But they have an starting point offset based on theirRFPI which is a unique ID which is given to each Freespeak II component whenmanufactured. This makes thetransmission hopping pattern for each antenna unique when it starts in the sameoffset point at power up or system reset. Once the system is running the antennas are not aware of thetransmission hopping pattern of the other antennas, making it possible, yetunlikely, that antennas that are added onto the system after its initial startclash with each other's transmission which could result in garbled audio andreduced range
