Helixnet: What are the DSCP (DiffServ) QoS priority tags for HelixNet

Helixnet: What are the DSCP (DiffServ) QoS priority tags for HelixNet

HelixNet and LQ network traffic is tagged as follows:

Version 1.0 to 4.1:
DSCP= 46 for high priority / expedited delivery.

Version 4.2 and onwards:
DSCP= 41 for high priority / assured delivery.
QoS tagging was changed to provide another tool to separate traffic in prioritization queues.

A Differentiated Services Code Point (DSCP) is a packet header value that can be used to request (for example) high priority or best effort delivery for traffic.
Packets with EF codepoint values are typically guaranteed highest priority delivery).
If you are connecting a HelixNet system onto a AES67 / PTP enabled network , then it is a good idea to place the HelixNet data onto a different VLAN and away from the AES67 / PTP VLAN.
