Matrix: I have a IVC-32 card connected to my Ethernet router and the IP links keeps dropping
When I look in the logs of the Ethernet router I see the following messages Line Protocol Down X (where X is the switch port)
Description of Line Protocol Down:Gigabit Ethernet is up, line protocol isdown: In this case, Physical layer is operational. The line protocol being downindicates a clocking or framing problem. Probable reasons for this areencapsulation and clock rate mismatches.
This could indicate several faults of a bad connection between the IVC-32 and the Ethernet router switch port - check cabling between the two units for any bad connections - check that the Ethernet switch port is set correctly and auto-negation is turned off and POSTFAST for the switch port mode is enabled
- check that the IVC-32 card is NOT resetting the Ethernet link
