We would recommend using a tool like wireshark to monitor IP data traffic between the CC matrix and the automation PC. As this provides a greatest level of detail
If you need to monitor HCI messages being sent to your matrix by a 3rd party automation system like VSM, Axon, BNCS or many others. You can enable simple overview by using a custom code in the event log This will display the HCI Message header info . This can be referenced against the message headers in the HCI manual.
1) Make sure the ECS / EHX is event log screen is open and logging2) Enable HCI debug by sending in event log request custom 111.1
