When upgrading a Matrix CPU card to EHX, from ECS, you need to install a new boot prom and simm card
If you see CS ERR on the dot matrix LED display of the CPU card and it is constantly reboot, Using static precautions try cleaning the contacts on both the simm card and the simm holder.
