Matrix: TEL-14 IFB on Matrix +3 frame hangs up 15 seconds after dialing in

Question:  I have a TEL-14 telephone IFB that isn't working correctly.  After the remote talent dials in the interface card picks up the line for a few seconds and then drops the call.  Is there something that isn't set properly in software?  I see the telephone IFB in the setup ports screen in PGM-WIN but in the interface column no telephone interface is declared.
Answer:  If the TEL-14 card doesn't show up in the interface type column in the setup ports software screen check the following items:
1.  Go to the front of the frame and observe if the MVX-A8 or MTX-A8 port led associated with the TEL-14 is lit up.  If it isn't go to step # 2
2.  Go to the rear of the frame and observe if there is a CAT-5 cable connected from the TEL-14 card to the port of the MVX-A8 / MTX-A8 card declared as the TEL-14 interface in PGM-WIN software. 
3.  If steps 1 and 2 are verified and the port led is lit, reset the port manually on the associated MVX-A8 / MTX-A8 card by pressing the reset button on the card. 
4.  After resetting the card manually, reset the port to NONE in PGM-WIN and rebuild the port as a TEL-14 port.
