Wireless: What is the RAK850 Remote Antenna Kit used for on a Pro850 wireless basestation?

The RAK850 allows you to relocate antennas away from the PRO850 base station for areas that experience RF reflection and dropouts.  The use of the RAK850 remote antenna kit gives the user the flexibility to intall the 850 base station in a rack and deploy both the transmit and receive antennas to another location in order to give the wireless beltpack users extended range in the areas that they will be stationed and or working in.
The RAK850 includes a 30 foot  (10m) cable with BNC connectors at both ends and a ground-plane surface (round metal disk) which is fitted with a thru-the-chassis BNC connector. For situations in which both antennas (RX and TX) have to be relocated, two RAK850 Remote Antenna Kits are required.
RAK850 part #  G24589-1
Note:  This kit is only to be used with the PRO850 wireless intercom system, it is not compatible with the HME DX210 or DX200 2.4GHz wireless system, the antenna connectors are not compatible with the DX series which uses a R-TNC connector and 1/2 wave antennas which do not require the use of a ground plane surface plate.
