Matrix: Can I upgrade an ICS-92 and ICS-2002 Panel from Matrix Plus to Eclipse
If the Eclipse Matrix is running EHX ver7.x or higher, then it is not possible. As the EHX software and firmware is not compatible with legacy Clear-Com panels like ICS-xxx panels or Drake 42xx panels.
If the Eclipse matrix is running ECS 5.2.4 or below, you can upgrade ICS and Drake panels to be compatible with the Eclipse matrix
For the upgrade you need new EPROM chips to install in theICS-92s,
Note ICS-2002 panels are NOT Eclipse 524 compatible, however ICS-2003s are compatible with Eclipse 524 systems...so you cannot upgrade your ICS-2002 to Eclipse. The upgrade kits are available from Clear-Com for ICS-xxx and Drake 42xx panels. The upgrade kit contains a new back panel for the ICS-92 to change the connector to an RJ45, though you could make your own DB-9 to RJ-45with the proper pinouts found in the manuals.
