Matrix: TEL-14 interface cards are causing audio feedback on Pico frame / i-stations

Question:  We have a Pico frame with multiple TEL-14 cards used for remote call in to the TV station for live remote newscasts.  Three of the TEL-14s are in a party-line, when all three TEL-14 lines are active the audio feed at the i-stations feeds back into the panel operator's ears.  How can we eliminate the audio feedback issue?
Answer:  There could be several things that could be contributing to the audio feedback issue on the i-stations when they listen or talk to the party-line with the three attached TEL-14 feeds:
1.  Null the three TEL-14 cards attached to the party-line one at a time.  Getting the best null separation between the incoming and outgoing audio on the telephone line is important to the audio clarity at the i-station and helps to reduce feedback
2.  The incoming / outgoing audio levels at each TEL-14 card may need to be manually adjusted on the front of the associated TEL-14 card
3.  If the manual TEL-14 audio adjustments do not adjust the audio to acceptable levels the TEL-14 interface card incoming / outbound port levels can be adjusted in ECS by accessing the Matrix Hardware and Ports menu and adjusting the port levels in the Advanced Settings column
4.  Lastly, the i-station microphone (gooseneck or headset mic) sensitivity can be adjusted locally at each i-station by pressing keypad button 7 and scrolling to either HS mic or GN mic options and manually adjusting the microphone level to an acceptable level
