Matrix: Can I determine the firmware version on a Eclipse Panel when it is disconnected from a Eclipse frame?
Question: Is it possible to determine the firmware version of an Eclipse panel when it is disconnected from a Eclipse frame?
Answer: The following list of Eclipse panels allow the user to determine the firmware when the panel is disconnected from a Eclipse frame:
I-Station -- The firmware version can be determined from a power cycle to the panel, the left most display module will momentarily read the panel firmware version, the other method is to perform a front panel reset at the function module using a small screwdriver to press the recessed reset button directly below the vertical LED bar graph.
ICS-92 -- press and hold the listen levels button, after 5 to 6 seconds the firmware version will be displayed on the front panel display
V-Panel (pushbutton, lever key, rotary) -- power cycle to read version of app firmware, uboot, kernel and display app code (4 firmware codes for V-series)
4224 panel -- panel display will show firmware version when disconnected from frame
The following panels do not show firmware version when disconnected from Eclipse frame:
ICS-2003
ICS-1008
ICS-1016
ICS-21
ICS-22
ICS-24
ICS-102
