Wireless: What settings should I check if I can't connect a laptop with TDesk to a Tempest Base station?

Check the following items below if you are having issues connecting a Tempest 3.00 version base station to TDesk 3.00 on a PC.  The latest versions of TDesk and Tempest 3.00 firmware for base stations and beltpacks is available at the Clear-Com support web page:

1. PC has wireless card disabled
2. Base station TCP/IP is set to manual mode
3. PC has static IP address set
4. PC and base station have been power cycled
5. IP settings on PC: 192.168.1.103, subnet 255.255.255.0
6. IP settings on Tempest Base: 192.168.1.105, subnet 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.1.1
7. PC is connected to base via a switch and standard CAT-5
8. PC should be running XP or Windows 7, Mac platform not supported at this time
9. PC should have Windows firewall disabled
