Partyline: 6 pin XLR does not fit
The AB100 uses a non standard six pin XLR connector for the headset.
This connector will accept the Switchcraft version of the 6-pin XLR or a standard 5-pin XLR.
It will not accept the six pin standard XLR (accordsing to IEC 61076-2-103).
The part numbers for XLR connectors that will fit Clear-Com products are:
Neutrik NC6MSXX / NC6MSX
Correct part NC6MSXX – Part number with „S“ denotes that it is the Switchcraft version
Best way to identify:
The Connector looks almost symmetrical
Both upper Pins 1 and 5 are almost aligned in a horizontal plane (i.e. almost same hight inside the connector)
The lower Pins 2, 3 and 4 form an almost symmetrical triangle
Pin 3 and 6 are vertically aligned
INCorrect part Incorrect part: NC6MXX - The NEUTRIK 6 pin XLR NC6MXX meets the industry standard according to IEC 61076-2-103.
Best way to identify:
Pin 1 &2 are vertically aligned
Asymmetrical: Pin 1 located above others
Lower Pins 2, 3 and 4 moved asymmetrically to the left
Pin 3 and 6 are not aligned vertically
