Wireless: When I pair a two channel Tempest beltpack to a four channel base station which channels can I select?

Question:  I want to pair a 2ch Tempest CP-242 beltpack to a 4ch Tempest CM-244 base station, when I do this can I select which two channels I can select on the beltpack? 
Answer:  When you pair a 2ch beltpack to a base station the only channels that can be used are channels A and B.  Channels C and D are not available in this configuration. 
The same would be true when pairing a 4ch beltpack to a 2ch base station.  Channels A and B would be available to use on the beltpack, channels C and D would not work.
