Matrix: Can I Link Eclipse frames together if they are operating different versions of ECS?

In a networked intelligently linked system consisting of multiple matrices all the Eclipse matrices must be upgraded to the same rack firmware version in order to link together and operate with a single version of ECS software.   Matrices running different rack firmware versions cannot be networked together. This applies to matrices running versions of software such as V5.2, V5.1, V5.0 or V4.2.  If there is doubt that the matrices are not running the same rack code this can be verified via the ECS matrix overview report (all ECS versions) or from the firmware report available in ECS versions V5.1 or V5.2. Another useful tool is the ECS release notes which provide a detailed list of all firmware versions for a released version of ECS (including frame firmware, panel firmware, wireless BP firmware, interface card firmware).
