Wireless: FreeSpeak II: (FSII BP) Beltpacks not powering up first time
Wireless: FreeSpeak II: (FSII BP) Beltpacks not powering up first time
June: 2014There have been reports of a few FreeSpeak II Beltpacks not powering on when they are first loaded with a new BAT60 battery. The fix is to remove the battery, re-load it and try a second time. Signs indicate that there is an in-rush current limiter that can prevent the battery from discharging and the register needs resetting by cycling it in the Beltpack to get it to work. If batteries are left for 10 -15 minutes outside the Beltpack they may need this two pass operation to work again.
BAT60 Batteries that exhibit this behaviour will be exchanged FOC.
Nov 2014BAT60 batteries sold / manufactured after this date have been modified and do not show this problem.
