Wireless: Can I use TDesk with the USB cable or only Ethernet CAT-5?

Question:  Can I use TDesk software with the supplied USB cable and or the Ethernet CAT-5 cable?
Answer:  TDesk programming software for Tempest 2ch and 4ch systems can only be used with a PC that supports TBase 10/100 ethernet via standard CAT-5 via a switch or direct connection with a CAT-5 ethernet crossover cable. 
The supplied USB cable is only used to support firmware upgrades to the base station PIC and DSP firmware. 
TDesk currently only supports online programming with the base station.  No off-line programming is allowed.  Configurations can be saved and introduced to an online system.
