Matrix: How can I benefit from using a Dante enabled Matrix frame at my concert event?
Question: I have a concert venue that uses multiple Dante enable products (wireless mics for guitars, drum kit and
vocal mics), system amplifiers for sound reinforcement and our front of house mixing console. How could I incorporate
an Eclipse Median frame equipped with a Dante card into these items for monitoring purposes?
Answer: With an HX enabled Eclipse frame hosting an E-Dante card the user can perform monitoring functions using
V-Series panels or with Freespeak II beltpacks. It would very simple to individually monitor vocal mics, instrument mics
and or mixes from the front of house mixer or the house audio feed going to amps or going to individual monitor mixes.
The audio routes would be made using Dante Controller and added to the Eclipse frame panels / wireless beltpacks via
EHX software. The diagram below will show a typical setup integrating Dante enabled products into the Eclipse frame.
You can also send comms / production talkback via the Dante to FOH or any other Dante device that can talk/ listen on the network
