Partyline : I have some hum and noise on my RM-702 panel, the hum is not system wide

Following a onsite visit, it was found that the customer was using a multi (composite) cable made up of audio, video cables and power cables.
It turned out that there was a 60 feet ‘snake’ multi (composite) cable as part of the install carrying 4 channels of PL & 4  coax feed to some monitors.Unplugging the monitors cured the problem –
The customer has agreed to re-route the audio cables to the RM-702 unit using a separate mic cable of 22 gauge.
The cause seemed to be crosstalk inthe snake cable from the video feeds affecting the DC, so channel A onthe PL became noisy.
Note: black-burst andhorizontal sync (transformer buzz) from the video, DMX-light control signals, light-dimmer control signals as well as power cables can wreak havoc on PL systems especially if using multi cablesClear-Com do recommend this method of installation and care should be taken when placing the PL cables in cable trays as well
