Wireless: Tempest Belt Pack In Searching Mode
Q: My Tempest Belt Station is constantly searching after pairing?
A: Check to see how many belt packs you have. You can only use 5 Tempest belt packs in NORMAL mode. If you have 6 or more packs, those will continue to say searching if the first five belt packs are turned on, and occupying the 5 slots on the wireless main station.
If you need to use more than 5 belt packs, it is recommended that you set the wireless main station in SPLIT MODE. The 5th slot of the wireless main station will allow you to add more packs however they will be in a listen only mode to one channel, and only one person can push to talk from those packs on the 5th slot to the designated channel.
Determine who your most frequent users are, or critical users / super users and place them on the first 4 packs which will be in NORMAL FULL DUPLEX mode. They can talk and listen to both selected channels.
Then determine who your least frequent users will be. Set those packs to the 5th slot in split mode. Select which channel they should be designated to.
