Matrix: Can't connect Eclipse frame to EHX software on Macbook running Parallels
Question: I'm running EHX software on a Macbook running Windows Parallels. When I try to connect to the Eclipse
frame I don't see the Eclipse frame in the EHX layout screen. I can ping the frame successfully so I don't know why
the frame isn't being seen in software.
Answer: Check your connection settings in Windows Parallels. Select Hardware icon in Parallels, then from the drop
down list select "Network" to open the options. The default settings for Parallels is "Shared" mode. For a connection
to an Eclipse frame the desired setting needs to be "Bridged Network" which allows for port forwarding which the
Eclipse frame / software needs to see. In shared mode Port Forwarding is turned off.
