Wireless: Number of FreeSpeak users in one location
Wireless: Number of FreeSpeak users in one location
I want to specify a wireless intercom system with 16 FULL DUPLEX users in one zone, could we use a FreeSpeak system with 4 to 5 antennas in that zone? Or is there a maximum number of antennas that could co-exist in the same zone before interfering? If the installation is in a fixed location then FreeSpeak basestation would be a good solution. We normally recommend 3-4 BPs per antenna so for 16 BPs , you will want to use 4 x antennas to cover the one areaThe maximum antennas in one zone for FreeSpeak basestation = 10 antennas and 20 BPs
NOTE: FreeSpeak is licensed for use in EMEA and uses 10 antennas in one zone CellCom is licensed for use in US and uses 5 antennas in one zone If the installation is temporary or moving from location to locationThen we would suggest using TempestFor Tempest you will need 4 basesations = gives you up to 20 users (each base supports 5 Bps )
