Question: I'm using a stand alone DX200 wireless system and want to know if I can string several Clear-Com RS-601 beltpacks directly to the base station 2-wire PL interface. Does the base station PL interface supply power out on the intercom line and does it supply a 200 ohm termination?
Answer: The DX200 base station 2-wire PL interface does not supply a DC voltage on pin 2 of the XLR connector and it does not supply a termination load for the intercom line. In order to use several RS-601 series beltpacks on the DX200 base station a small PL power supply (Clear-Com PK-7 for example) would supply the necessary PL line DC voltage and termination for up to (8) RS-600 series beltpacks.
