Wireless: Powering the E-IPT with USB-C

Question:
I am trying to power my FSII IP Transceiver (IPT) with a USB battery bank (to carry out a site survey). There is a USB C port on the unit but it does not power up. Can I power my IPT with a USB battery bank?
Answer:
The USB C port on the IPT can be used to power the unit with an appropriate power supply or power (battery) bank.
The power supply/bank must support USB C explicitly. An older USB A power bank using an A-to-C cable will not necessarily work. This is because the IPT hardware "negotiates" a 5 V / 3 A supply. If the power supply/bank does not have the capability of recognising this hardware (actually an expected resistor value), it will not be able to provide power.
The IPT does not require the full 3 A current but this mechanism is in place to protect from faulty USB power supplies.
Examples of power banks that will work:
RAVPower
Anker
