Wireless: FSII 2.4 system having dropouts when Wi-Fi system is turned on
Using the Wi-Fi 802.11n mode, there are two possible channel widths:
Most Wi-Fi systems are setup to have 20Mhz spacing between channels. Some systems are setup using 40MHz spacing this setting crowds out all available free space and means the FSII BP will struggle to find a free channel to use.
Setting Wi-Fi access points (AP) to use 40MHz spacing is not recommend as it affects many other 2.4 systems not just FSII
The 40 MHz.setting at 2.4 is not recommended by Wi-Fi experts. Anyone who has set theirnetwork up this way has setup the system incorrectly. The only reason you would want to setup a 40 MHz. channel is if you had one AP (Access point) in an isolated area, if you want toset up a roaming system with the best coverage you need to stay with 20 MHzchannels. 40 MHz is best suited for 5. GHz which has a wider spectrum. A AP in a facility where one is set at 40 MHz. to get better throughput, would also interfere with the in house Wi-Fi system.
