Wireless: Can I initiate a "Call on Talk" function on Tempest beltpacks?

There are two call methods available in Tempest. The first uses the CALL button to send call signals to any beltpack or hardwired user on the active channel.
The second method is referred to as “Call On Talk” and uses the beltpack TALK button to initiate a call signal. However, the “Call On Talk” feature works independently from all other beltpack call settings and can be used to send call signals through intercom channels to attached radios or matrix.
To enable the CALL button, press MENU, select “Set Controls,” select “Call Button,” and select Enable. This is the default setting.
To initiate a call, select a channel for talking with the CH A/B or CH C/D buttons and activate the TALK button. Press and hold CALL for as long as you want the call signal to go out on the channel. A call signal will be received by users who are listening on the same channel that originates the call signal.
To enable the “Call on Talk” feature, press MENU, select “Set Controls”, then “Talk Buttons”, then “HW Call on Talk”, and select Enable. The default setting is Disable.
NOTE:  A call signal from the CALL button is sent only when the Talk button is enabled, and only on the channel selected for Talk.
