Matrix: Does the Matrix +2 software include a firmware updater?

Question: I purchased a Matrix +2 frame and panels on the used market. The system works and I was able to download the Matrix +2 software from your web site, everything is installed and it works fine. One question I have, is there a firmware updater program for this system? I didn't see one in the software nor did I see a standalone firmware updater. Any information on this would be helpful.
Answer: The Matrix +2 system did not include a firmware updater program. All software version updates required the user to manually swap out the PROMs in the frame and user Stations with updated PROMs. The PROMs were one shot programmable parts and thus no need for a firmware updater which requires the use of flash programmable EEPROMs.
Matrix +3 and Eclipse platforms make use of flash programmable EEPROMs and thus use firmware update programs.
