Wireless: How can I access menus on a FSII beltpack when the menu access is disabled in software?
Question: We were asked how to adjust the volume on channels C and D on the pack. While we found the option in the menu, most of our packs have the menu options locked. So, how can you adjust the volume on those channels without accessing the menu? Channels A and B already have large rotary knobs for adjustment.
EHX answer: To access a PIN-protected menu (when menu access is restricted), you'll need the Menu Access Code. This four-digit code, selected during commissioning, can be found under EHX Configuration > Preferences > System Access Codes.
FSII base answer: If you're using the FreeSpeak II base station (configuration editor version 2.42.32.0 or earlier), navigate to the System tab to locate the Admin PIN Code. The default code for accessing the beltpack menus is 4632.
Once you have the code, press the Menu button on the beltpack—it should display "Settings." Press the D button to open the Admin Options menu, then press D again to enter the four-digit menu access code. Use the two rotary volume controls to input the code, and press D once more.
Afterward, scroll to "Full Menu Access," select it, and press the D button again. Choose "Yes," confirm by pressing D once more, and the beltpack will return to the key screen. Finally, press the Menu button to access the desired menu option.
Keep in mind, the beltpack menu will stay accessible until the device is power cycled, after which the PIN protection will be re-enabled.
FSII base II answer: If you're working with an FSII Base II that has CCM access, you'll need to assign a beltpack role to the beltpack. Then, navigate to Menu Access and set the Menu Access Level to Normal.
