Matrix: Does the V-Series panel support different headset mic types on HS 1 and HS 2 simultaneously?
Question: V-Panel Headset Mic 1 and 2 type settings in ECS. The Headset Mic Type allows the type of headset microphone to be configured. To set the microphone type highlight the item to allow the drop-down menu to bedisplayed. The options for headset microphones are Dynamic Balanced,Dynamic Unbalanced (default) and Electret. This setting applies toheadset 1 and 2. Based on this info from the ECS 5.2 user manual Iwould ascertain that you can’t have HS 1 set to dynamic unbalanced and HS 2 setto electret. Is this a correct assumption?
Answer:The headset microphone settings drop down box in ECS supports the same microphone type for both the front panel HS 1 4-pin XLR and the rear panel HS 2 db-25 connector. The front panel HS mic type and rear panel HS mic type cannot be different.
NOTE: When making a change to the headset microphone type for HS 1 / HS 2 after the change is made in ECS the change has to be sent to the frame via a BLACK RESET for the change to take effect. Apply changes to frame and red resets will not properly initiate the change to a V-series panel.
