Matrix: Can I use Clear-Com IP products on my existing Matrix+3 frame?

Question:  I have an existing Matrix+3 compact 72 frame and would like to investigate the possibility of adding IP based products (V-Series IP panels, Soft-Voice, Concert and Voice 2.0) to my intercom system.  Which products are compatible with my system?

Answer: The Clear-Com IP product line are designed to work primarily with the Eclipse Matrix product family.
1) The V-Series IP panels (standard pushbutton, lever key and rotary key versions) are only compatible with Eclipse series frames running ECS 5.0 and above depending on the V-Series panel deployed.
2) Virtual Soft-Voice panels are only compatible with Eclipse frames using Voice 2.0 interface frames.
3) Concert panels can only be seamlessly interfaced into a Eclipse Omega or Median frame using IVC-32 cards.
Possible connections to a Matrix+3 systema) Concert panels could be used in a standalone version interfaced into a Matrix +3 via dumb 4-wire tie-lines between the Concert server fitted with a suitable M-Audio device and the Matrix +3 frame RJ-45 ports.
b) Voice2 units are completely compatible with both Matrix +3 and Eclipse frames.  Using the web browser to configure Voice server and or client interfaces allows the user to configure the Voice2 ports for Matrix +3 or Eclipse formats.  Note: also see solution "How do I connect Matrix+3 panels using voice"
