Partyline: Is the AB-100 compatilble with the AB-120? Are they interchangable?
Yes, the AB-120 and AB-100 are compatible. The older AB-100 is not RoHS compliant. But the AB-120 is. The AB-100 has a few features more than the AB-120. They are mic phantom power for electret mics, a DB-15 connector that can access 4-wire audio in and out of the AB-100, and the option for balanced IFB inputs.If a phantom power mic is to be used with the AB-120, one should procure an after-market mic phantom voltage supply and place it between the H/S mic and the input to the AB-120.
