Customer requested the pinout wiring for an Encore TW-47 2-way radio interface to a Kenwood TK-3160 portable 2-way radio.  This requires knowledge of the TK-3160 accessory jack wiring which contains the remote speaker, mic and PTT switch connections.  The information for the Kenwood radio accessory jack is shown below:

 





















Refer to the TW-47 user manual (attached to this solution) to confirm the internal jumpers on the TW-47. 

Using the above supplied information from Kenwood wiring to the db-9 connector on a TW-47 or TW-40 party-line interface is possible, same for wiring to the db-9 connector on a FOR-22 interface card used on a Matrix +3 or Eclipse series digital intercom system. 




























Accessory cable connection to the TK-3160 radio.  It uses a 3.5mm connection for the microphone and a 2.5mm connection for the speaker feed.
