Can I use the FSII SPL splitter via CWDM mux
Does Clear-Com have experience with FSII Base to FSII SPL Splitter using Fibre over 3rd Party devices like Yellow Brik ( CWDM ) Multiplexer
example: FSII Base II (Fibre) <<Yellow Brick CWDM Mux>> FSII SPL-fibre
Answer:
You cannot use standard CWDM devices , as the Fibre signal is CC Proprietary, hence if the CWDM device decodes / encodes during the CDWM process it may not work
Some customers have done what you are asking for by using the aux channel on our Broman Mux-22 products as they don’t decode but mix the light
The type of connection for the FSII fibre is 1310nm / data format = CC Proprietary
Visit the Clear-Com website for more details on the Broaman Mux-22 video / audio device
