Network:
LQ must be setup with internet-facing connection with valid DNS.
RingCentral Setup Directions
In RingCentral, a phone number can be set up to connect with a physical phone on a desk, or to a third-party device like an LQ. For the LQ connection, go to the Phone Numbers screen.
Select the phone number you want to connect to your LQ, then click Phone Properties.
Click the Change Phone button and in the pop up window, select “Bring Your Own Device”
It will ask where the Emergency Response location is, enter the address where you are located and click Next.
Under Select Device, click “Set up manually using SIP” just below the search box.
In Step 1, select NO for TLS
In the Outbound Proxy dropdown, select the first SIP connection for the region you are located. In this example, it is using sip10 from the United States.
NOTE - If you are setting up more than one phone number for your LQ, be sure to use the same Outbound Proxy for all of the numbers. If setting up more numbers on a second LQ, you are welcome to use a different Outbound Proxy, as long as they are all the same in that instance.
Take a screenshot of this information as you will need to enter it into the LQ in the next steps.
LQ Configuration
Go to CCM > Accounts > SIP
First set up the SIP Server Settings

IF TRYING TO CONNECT MORE THAN FOUR SIP LINES, YOU WILL NEED TO CREATE TWO DIFFERENT RINGCENTRAL INSTANCES IN THE LQ AND HAVE FOUR LINES GO TO sip10.ringcentral.com and FOUR LINES GO TO sip20.ringcentral.com
!!! UPDATE AS OF 2/25/2025 - RingCentral has set up two new SIP proxies for BYOD devices: sip12.ringcentral.com and sip22.ringcentral.com. The old SIP proxies will remain in service, but could be shut down at a later date. If you decide to transition your devices to the new SIP proxies, RingCentral has provided the following steps:
Whitelist the RingCentral supernets on your network equipment:
208.87.40.0/22
103.44.68.0/22
104.245.56.0/21
Manually configure the SIP proxy of your devices as follows:
Old SIP proxy address | New SIP proxy address |
