Iris Panel - Random Disconnect Temporary Fix

The following is associated with Clear-Com Engineering bug ticket TP72810 and may be out of date, depending on when/if a firmware patch fixes the issue. Please contact Clear-Com support for an update.

The Clear-Com Iris panel has been known to experience a failure on random IP switches due to the switch port doing a random yet brief down/up event. This event affects the functionality of the panel leading to a reset of the device.

It is recommended that you disable the PoE (power over Ethernet) on the switch ports connected to the Iris LAN connectors to avoid this rare event.

As of May of 2021, Clear-Com Engineering continues to investigate this issue and will aim to provide a firmware update that rectifies the issue.
